One year ago today I embarked on this crazy journey called the Navy. Its been a crazy ride – especially those first months. I look back at boot camp with fond memories, I still have a picture of my division on my dresser! Never have I been pushed out of my comfort zone so much, both at boot camp and A school. I can’t believe its been a year already, and I’m looking forward to many more years to come!
Anyways, looking forward to a quick trip to Colorado this weekend. My aunt and uncle from Brazil are visiting my mom and I was able to get a four day weekend off from work to go see them. I haven’t seen any family from my mom’s side since I was in high school! Gotta brush up on my Portuguese though…well I guess that’s what my mom is for – translator! I’m not planning on bringing my clarinet on the trip so it will be a nice getaway from my normal musical/navy life. Have a great memorial day weekend everyone!
