I initially created this blog to document my successes and failures of trying to make it as a clarinetist after graduating with my Master’s degree from Eastman School of Music in 2009. After two years of struggles, I landed a job playing with the fleet bands of the U.S. Navy in 2011.

Now eight years in, I’ve lived and played clarinet all over the world! Currently, I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia playing with the U.S. Fleet Forces Band.

Feel free to read and explore as I document my successes, my failures, and my “pathway to clarinet excellency”.
